Paris Dressed in Wood
2019
Paris, France
With this series, Ochoa aimed to document the beauty of fear, a fear that is manifested in the shape of wood, barrier, and limit.
It is a recurrent subject in his work, where different manifestations of fear and defense mechanisms have been protagonists.
Scenes like social upheavals after presidential desicions, which detonated a social class conflict, a chilling scene where citizens that normally transit around the city had to hide. This series transpire what it means to be human across the different shades of the wood, full of messages, some of them erased, that show resentment, fear, doubt, existence, society, history, politics, art, power, relationship between architecture and the human factor, city, coexistence, conflict, territoriality and expression.
