Repost-modernisme
2020-2021
Paris, France
A play on words between the neologism "reposter", from social networks, and the concept of "post modernism". Spelling and grammar as new forms of segregation. Virtual and real public spaces. Interactions with passers-by through urban art. I appropriated posts from social networks through screenshots that then became part of the work. I chose to immortalize questions found on Facebook groups that highlight a new form of virtual communication. This project aims to take these phrases out of the virtual dimension and into the street. In this new hyper concrete dimension, the urban subject who is not looking for art and who is confronted with the impossibility of answering the question in front of him, will turn to someone else, ask the question differently or remain in doubt. I consciously leave the grammatical and spelling errors intact because they have a very strong impact value and allow me to demonstrate to what extent the written language plays a discriminating role in France.
